Pupils from St Joseph’s School were given a special behind-the-scenes experience when they visited Cotswold Homes’ new housing development in Malmesbury to officially open the show home at Hopton Rise.

Located on the edge of the historic market town, the exceptional development features 23 high-quality homes, offering a range of thoughtfully designed three- and four-bedroom properties. Each home is crafted from natural stone to reflect and respect Malmesbury’s distinctive architectural character and picturesque surroundings.

With a strong commitment to sustainability, every home at Hopton Rise is equipped with air source heat pumps, photovoltaic panels and electric vehicle chargers — ensuring reduced environmental impact and long-term energy efficiency for future residents.

At the heart of the development is the show home, The Dyrham — a stylish four-bedroom detached property designed for contemporary family living. The show home gives prospective buyers the opportunity to experience first-hand the quality build and lifestyle on offer.

The Dyrham features a bright drawing room accessed from the hallway, while to the rear, a full-width kitchen and dining suite forms the central hub of the home, complete with French doors opening onto an enclosed garden — perfect for entertaining or unwinding.

The kitchen blends practicality with sophistication, boasting SMEG appliances and premium Symphony cabinetry. Upstairs, the principal suite offers an en-suite and fitted wardrobes, complemented by three additional bedrooms — each with fitted wardrobes — and a modern family bathroom. As with all homes at Hopton Rise, energy-efficient design elements ensure year-round comfort and cost-effective living.

Nick Morrell, Head at St Joseph’s Malmesbury, said: “The children loved the visit and to see a working site and a brand new show home was very exciting.”

Spacious, light-filled interiors, open-plan layouts and high-specification finishes come together to create homes that blend elegance with functionality.

Sarah Williams, Sales and Marketing Director at Cotswold Homes, commented: “It was lovely to have pupils from St Joseph’s visit the development and show so much interest in new build housing.

“Hopton Rise showcases the very best of our design philosophy — quality build, sustainable energy innovation features and homes that truly complement modern day lifestyles.

“With sustainability at the heart of our plans, we’re confident these homes will enhance the local environment and provide much-needed housing for a wide range of people.”

The show home is open Thursday to Monday, 10:00am – 5:00pm. Prices start from £465,000.
